We were delighted to welcome alumni and friends from around the world to our recent Alumni & Friends Webinar. It was an inspiring evening that highlighted the lifelong impact of a Tabeetha education.

Our panel featured five exceptional speakers representing different decades of Tabeetha’s history:

  • Liam Wakileh (Class of 2021), currently studying Computer Engineering at the Technion.
  • Dr Rana Abu Manneh (Class of 2013), postdoctoral fellow and clinical research coordinator at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics.
  • Dr Mohammed Aboukaoud (Class of 2009), lecturer in Clinical Pharmacology at Ben-Gurion University and third-generation Tabeetha graduate.
  • His Excellency Ambassador Per Egil Selvaag, Norwegian Ambassador to Israel and Tabeetha alumnus (1967–1970).
  • Chris Mottershead, former Principal (2000–2005), who continues to support the school and its mission.

Throughout the evening, speakers reflected on their time at Tabeetha, sharing how the school’s unique ethos shaped their lives and careers. Whether recalling moments of interfaith friendship, the encouragement of open dialogue or milestones like Model UN and graduation, each voice echoed a common truth: Tabeetha is more than a school—it’s a community that prepares its students not only to succeed, but to build a more understanding and compassionate world.

Here are just a few of the powerful reflections shared:

“Tabeetha’s very existence is a peace project. It is an enabler for greater understanding and through that, peace and security for all.”
— Ambassador Per Egil Selvaag

“Ignorance leads to fear, which leads to hatred and that cycle is broken at Tabeetha.”
— Dr Rana Abu Manneh

“At Tabeetha, you understand that people are people. What matters is not where someone comes from, but who they are.”
— Liam Wakileh

We thank all who attended and look forward to continuing these vital conversations. Stay tuned for more alumni events and opportunities to connect with the Tabeetha family.
