International Day is a special event at Tabeetha School. Held annually in October, it is a day when Tabeetha celebrates its diversity, a wonderful opportunity to share and explore the different cultures and cuisines represented at our unique school.
Every year, parents and pupils come dressed in their national costumes and bring delicious food from their country of origin. Our back yard turns into a huge food court where pupils, staff and their families learn more about each other in a great family atmosphere. This year, our little peace –makers, the Student Council, deliberately arranged countries like Israel and Palestine, Armenia and Turkey, China and Taiwan, next to each other to signify that at Tabeetha we are all united and live in peace with each other.
Our Student Council did a fantastic job organising this wonderful celebration, offering games and activities and, of course, splendid performances by Tabeetha’s talented pupils. Let’s not forget the happy winners of the amazing raffle prizes donated by our generous staff, parents and partners, the Scots Hotel in Tiberias and the Scottish Guest House in Jerusalem.
At Tabeetha, we really believe that it is important to embrace and share our differences. This celebration encourages pupils, as well as parents, to learn more about other cultures and to be proud of their heritage. It also helps them to have a better understanding of their place in the global community and to become more tolerant and accepting of others.
Thank you Ms. Yelena Reis, Marius Charalambous and the Student Council for this FUN-TASTIC event. Thank you parents, pupils and staff for the delicious treats.
Give today to become a part of something meaningful and support the great work of Tabeetha School in the Holy Land.
